In the south of Croatia, in the valley of the river Neretva, lies a unique hundred-year-old stone beauty called Nera Etwa House, perfect for an escape from the hectic everyday life and an ideal location for leaving all worries behind you. The microlocation of the house is secluded, with a stunning view of the surrounding olive trees, mandarin fields and hills, which guarantees its guests peace and privacy.
The eclectic interior with pieces of furniture and details from all over the world, which the owner has been collecting for years, will surely leave no one indifferent. Most of the details are from India and Morocco, which was the main inspiration for the room called ‘Marrakech room’. It is a large double bedroom located on the ground floor, and with its original features, such as two handmade trays from Morocco that have become headboards, it will instantly ‘transport’ you to a country in northwest Africa. On the first floor is the second bedroom, the charming little double room ‘Little Hay Room’. The original door of the house here was used as a headboard, while hay lamps were brought from Morocco. The master bedroom is located in the attic and is called the ‘Spring Blossom Attic’. A touch of Paris and oriental atmosphere dominates in this beautiful room and makes it a perfect oasis of peace. A beautiful antique bathtub in the middle of the bedroom gives it extra charm. A spacious kitchen measuring about 45 square meters was once the heart of the whole village. For decades, locals have gathered here to bake bread, make brandy and socialize. All original features have been retained during the restoration, including a 1930s bread oven where you can now bake pizza.
Apart from the interior, the outdoor space of 750 square meters is no less impressive. In this magical garden you can read, meditate, sunbathe and soak up the nature that surrounds you. Nera Etwa House is truly a real little piece of paradise where you will be completely disconnected from the hectic pace of everyday life.
